Flash Player does'nt works!

Hello people!

I installed Macromedia Flash Player to be used in Mozilla 1.7.5. This is the path:

/usr/lib/mozilla-1.7.5/plugins

however, when I'm "surfing" Internet, I frequently receive a message telling me that some web content cannot be played because of Macromedia Flash Player absence.

Why does my system does not use Flash? Macromedia Flash installer reported a succesfull installation. What's wrong?

Moreover, is it possible to install Flash to Konqueror browser?
