whenever i try to install lilo it doesnt work properly, or something of the like, after reloading the computer grub tries to run again instead of lilo, do i need new harddrive? is the process more work than popping in a new hd? (i have several extra)
Where do you have grub and lilo installed? Sounds like grub may be on the mbr and lili on (h/s)da1?
If this is the case, then install lilo to the mbr, don't forget to update lilo.
Alternatively, you could just update your grub menu to include your new install, Grub will boot many more different OS-es than lilo.
