I know that most of you loyal Slackware users are already familiar with this book, but perhaps those that are new to the distribution will find it to be a handy guide and reference, too:

perhaps this should be made a sticky
Yes, it's from Slackware community, for Slackware community.
I am new to linux and have been reading that book. It is very helpful. I like it and would recommend it to anyone.
For anyone keeping an eye on this online manual, they've just done some more updating:

SlackBook Update 2005-08-20
I've finally gotten around to posting that translations page I have been promising for a month now! So far volunteers have contacted me to translate the book into 9 seperate languages. I'd like to thank everyone for their hard work in this effort.

Yes, I totally agree. It's full of good info that all Slackware users will find helpful.Quote:

good to see - its becoming irritating referring everyone to the slackbook constantly.
As someone said it should be put as a sticky with others links quite useful: the main website for ex and some slack connected projects like slamd64.com or even slax and zenwalk.Quote:
