Popcorn

I have install SLAX popcorn on a USB stick to boot up from as I have a dead tablet PC with no CD drive or floppy drive and I need to delete the windows file c:/windows/system32/config/system and replace with the backup one.

But I cant as it is read only is there a brute force way of doing it?

If windows install is in format ntfs, you need something with ntfs-3g. It is included with full slax, but not popcorn. However, you might try it as a module on pop (http://www.slax.org/modules.php?cate...h+ntfs-3g-beta)
