Problem installing Slack
Downloaded the 10.2 ISOs, checked the md5sums and burned the as an image to a cd, it boot just fine but when i try to install it after setting the source, target and swap the installation begins when I hit install but it doesn't copy any packages to the disk and after a second or two of the beginig of the installation it says it is finished without doing anything
I really want to try Slackware but can't due to this issue.
ps > I also tried to install it by premounting the CD on /install1 and setting the installer to copy from a premounted CD but I get the same as above
Thanks in advance
EDIT: I am installing from a slave cd driver
i dont think its finding or using your hard disks
have you SATA?
No, I don't. I have installed previous versions of Slack (10.0) without problems. I can also mount my disks outside the installer without problems.
