Slackware 10.2 and xorg 7
I've been looking for a way to enable XGL on Slackware and found some .tgz packages for xorg 7 and xgl on the dropline gnome forums that people have reported work OK ... but after installing them I am not able to start x (or startxgl). When I try to start x the nvidia splash screen appears and then disappears straight away, and I'm dropped back to the shell. I get these errors from xorg:
My xorg.conf has the sections for my keyboard and mouse and it looks correct to me. I tried running "X -configure" and xorgconfig which created a new xorg.conf but those ones don't work either.
Failed to load module "mouse" (module does not exist, 0)
Failed to load module "kbd" (module does not exist, 0)
No input driver matching 'mouse'
No input driver matching 'kbd'
No core keyboard
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have the feeling I'm missing something fundamental but don't know what it could be.
