superkaramba python version problem

Hello,

Running OpenSuse 10.2 with KDE.

I attempted to install Superkaramba. After running the configure scrip the following error message was displayed:

Superkaramba can't be compiled
because of missing Python libraries/headers.

I Googled this and found the following page: Warren Falk » Blog Archive » Compiling KDE 3.5.2

While interesting this did not seem to be my problem. I checked config.log and saw that it was searching in the correct location but that it seemed to be looking for Python version 2.4 and lower. I have Python 2.5 installed. Although I would have thought that fact that I have a symbolic link named 'python' pointing to the 'python2.5' directory would have prevented exactly this sort of problem from occurring.

I don't know how to change the configure script so that it looks in the correct location.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Jack

Superkaramba is included with opensuse 10.2. Install "kdeutils3-extra" package and superkaramba will be in Kmenu->Utilities->Desktop.

Do you have python development installed? It sounds like it is looking for the header files.
