som questions on reinstalling suse with 10.3

Hi guys, as i'm still noob to linux, i want to get some answers before i procced with installing openSuse 10.3

Currently my machine has 2 OS, windows and suse linux enterprise desktop(sled) from novell installed.
Whenever i boot up, i think it will load up a grub loader asking which OS i want to boot.

Ok now i want to ask is
1) if i want to replace SLED with openSuse10.3, do i just insert the disk into the cd rom and follow the steps to replace the sled with 10.3
2) will it affect or corrupt the grub loader or will it remove it and replace with 1 on in the 10.3? This is a major concern for me because there are some important data in windows.
3) i thinking of going into windows and in the disk management, i remove those partitions with linux and tried to replace them with 10.3 by booting them from cd load up. Will it cause problems? What is the right way if i want to replace sled with 10.3?

Thanks...

You need to boot from the openSUSE discs and during partitioning choose the option to use your existing Linux partitions and openSUSE 10.3 will overwrite SLED. There is not need to tinker with the Linux partitions from within Windows. openSUSE 10.3 will install grub which will overwrite the grub installed by SLED, but you should still have the option to choose between Windows and openSUSE at boot time.

If you want to save your personnel data/settings be sure to tel the installer not to format the partition that contains /home and to remount it as /home.

It very simple when the installer tells you where it plans to install just manually change the settings it take about 4 clicks and 6 letters to be typed the screens are obvious when you see them.
