how to insatall gcc and java compilers

i dont have gcc and java compilers on my suse os. how to install them

I would try going to kcontrol (KDE' Control Panel) and using the Package Manager to search for 'gcc' and then 'java'.

I think SuSE comes with GCC and Java by default.

only in professional

Only in SuSE 9.1 Professional do you get a gcc compiler, otherwise you need to set your installation source to a complete http / ftp server and install from there

Open up YaST, go to "Install or Remove Programs", do a search for "gcc" or look in the "Category" view under development. You'll need "gcc" "g++" and either "gcj" or "java-SDK".
