Exclamation [SOLVED] dead slow downloads

Hey everybody, thanks a lot for helping with my last issue.
I'm downloading a song from the web using opera and its "downloading at 0.8 k/s"...
I used "download accelerator plus" on windows and could download at around
20k/s-25k/s averagely. Do i need to use a download accelerator? Is there one available for linux? I've checked the installation DVD, doesn't seem to contain any. Or is it possible to fix this from the console or anywhere? My browser's loading pages moderately fast, i'm sure it's more than 0.8k/s when it's opening a page. It's the same with firefox. I've rebooted to vista and checked with the same download site, using opera for windows. Vista is downloading the same song at 23k/s averagely(using download accelerator plus). I'm using openSUSE 10.3 and dialling up to my ISP thru my cell fone over a bluetooth pc-to-fone link.
Please help. Thanks for reading.
