mrsavage Just Joined! Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 48	Is hyper threading enabled in suse 9.2 pro Hi as above and how do you tell if hyper threading is enabled and how do you set the affinity for the program in windows(ties individual programs to the different cpus)

lakerdonald Linux Guru Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: St. Petersburg, FL Posts: 5,039	I'm not sure how you set the affinity, but on SuSE 9.1, Hyper threading worked fine. Just make sure that you get the "kernel-smp" package during install. __________________ the lost art of found sound

techieMoe Super Moderantor Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Texas Posts: 9,269	Hyper-threading does work with SuSE 9.1, and probably 9.2 though I haven't tried it. SuSE is smart enough to install the SMP kernel when it detects more than one CPU.
