Look for the "w32codec-0.52-1.i386.rpm" on this page, which I found on the Xine homepage:
http://cambuca.ldhs.cetuc.puc-rio.br/xine/
Install it the same way you would any other RPM and it will put the codecs in the right spot.

The RPM I linked to above will work with any distribution that uses RPM (Fedora, Suse, Mandriva, etc).

If you have Xine and you install the codecs, any program that uses the Xine engine can use them too. That includes Kaffeine and Totem. You can probably direct Mplayer to that directory as well. It's usually installed in
/usr/lib/win32.
