speedtouch modem connect problem and tainted kernel

hello everyone

I wonder if anyone can help

I am using Suse9.3 and having problems using a USB Speedtouch modem to connect to the internet. I have followed instructions for the install. I launch Kinternet and the icon changes to connecting then it stops

I have looked in /var/log/messages and used tail

which shows this:-
