Supposedly the answer to this question is only with SP2, however, I can only do
increases through yast.
Using "lvextend" works but then "resize2fs" won't work from the command line. It says the filesystem is still mounted. Perhaps there is another command that I haven't found out about yet that will allow for online resizing from the command line.
If you try and decrease the size of a filesystem through yast, it doesn't like that and says that your filesystem is still mounted.
If this is working as planned, it was kind of crappy for Novell to say that SP2 supports "online resizing of ext3 partitions" when it is only increases through yast.
