    GCC Configuration Issues

    I am running Suse 10.1 and downloaded/untarred GNU GCC. I made objdir and added /gcc to my PATH. When I run configure though it fails saying no appropriate cc (or gcc) is found.

    Am I missing something? Has anyone had a similar problem? Suggestions...

    Hi and Welcome !

    GCC is available in Installation CD/DVD. Install from that using YAST.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
