    Question Sound mixing with ALSA

    Greetings,

I have just configured all my application to mix sound with ALSA and it works great apart from a small detail of the volume level on all applications that seems to be "connected".

f.e. if i change the volume bar on mplayer the bar on wine and xmms changes too, making it very hard to balance them.

Is that supposed to happen? In there a way to bypass this and be able to set different sound levels for each application?

Thank you in advance for your replies..^^

    Yes.

I think you need a use a mixer something like Jack. But don't know exactly how to set things up to do what you want.
