    Resolved in BIOS

I resolved the boot up issues by loading Failsafe defaults in the Bios. Just thought I'd post that here because it may be helpful to someone else.

I'm running a core 2 duo on and Intel D965WH motherboard. For some reason, advanced settings in the bios stop the system from booting. I'll post more as I find out why this is.

I had a similar problem recently. I had a monitor which refused to display X though it could show most of the terminal. After a BIOS reset it was fine. Took me days to figure it out though.

    Chipset

My issues is more closely related to the chipset. I believe it to be very specific. But alas, I'll post the details when I know for sure. Now if I could only get my monitor to come up in normal mode. stating out of range, but I post a new topic for that.
