Users are displayed on graphical login

I'm using OpenSuSE 10.2 and have found it to be a very good distro. However one thing that really bugs me from a security point of view when the system boots and then awaits for a username and passwd the allowed users are displayed on the left portion of the screen. It seems that is poor security practice since it gives anyone walking by the usernames that are allowed to login to the box. Does anyone know how to turn this feature off so the users are no longer displayed?
Thanks
Rich

It is decided by gdm/kdm and the theme you use for it. Do you know which one you are using? If you set it up with KDE then it is most likely kdm and Gnome is most likely gdm. You can choose from the various themes and layouts, the majority of which are login only. You can also get more at kde-look.org or gnome-look.org.

If you're using KDM:
KControl Panel -> System Administration -> Login Manager
and select Users tab. Check the users you want to hide from the login screen and 'Apply'...

Many thanks for the tips and the fix to my issue. Users are now gone from the login screen.
