    Clean Install?

I'm a newbie to Linux, my friend recommended I get SuSe so I'm downloading it now (10.2) and I was wondering, is it possible to just wipe the hard drive of my computer and then do a clean install of Linux from the disks? Is that possible?

During the installation, you will have an option to setup partitions, you can shoose to remove all partitions from your drive and start afresh.

    I suggest...

I suggest because you are a newbie to linux, to keep windows. and dual boot. During the installation, the installer will automatically suggest a partitioning setup. I suggest to keep the default partitioning setup.

yeh 1stly keep windows as suggested by mr nobody when u get familiar with linux environment and troubleshooting which is a bit cumbersome than windows u can use the parted live cd for formatting the partitions and merging them with the linux partitions
