    Invisible mouse on Latitute D505

Dear Fellas, Where I am now, it already past midnight. I have been working on my D505 since 10 this morning. I finally got 10.2 running but I cannot see the mouse pointer.
There is also a very ugly space hanging at the top of my screen, about 1.5cm and I can't figure out how to get rid of it either.

    Any assistance?
    Thanx
    patam.

Are you using a USB mouse?

    Press
    ctrl-alt-F1

    log in as root

    run
    yast

    go to hardware-mouse modal

select your mouse or try generic

For monitor problem run as root
    sax2

    This should configure your monitor.
