    Hylafax Windows Client

I am new to Suse Enterprise 10. I have the Hylafax server installed and I am searching for a reliable windows Hylafax client. So far I am considering Frog Fax ( free ) and Cypheus ( not free ). I have a small office with 5 users. We are running XP Professional. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, MikeH30, I am in the same boat, with about 5-6 computers in a small office. I setup hylafax server and am currently looking at options for hylafax client on windows xp and vista 64. I wonder how it worked out for you, could you post a follow up? thank you.

I replaced all of our XP machines with OpenSuse11.1. I installed Avantfax as a web based client for Hylafax. We are a 100% Linux office now.

Since we left the windoze world, business couldn't be better. Everything works with Linux unlike XP. I will never go back to windoze again.

    Hi, MikeH30,

Thank you very much for the quick response. I do not know anything about the avantfax, could you post if you install the avantfax in the same box where hylafax is installed-- the server, or in each of your client computer? After install, you could use Hylafax at each of the client computer via a webbrowser and they do not need any hylafax client software? Thank you again.

Avantfax is installed on the server - it is a web application. The nice thing about it is once it is installed, you only need to use a web browser from each of your clients to access it. No need to install client software on each PC. The Avantfax/Hylafax combo has been great!! No commercial products can compare!! You can get all the instructions from AvantFAX.com - What is AvantFAX?

    Best,

    -Mike
