Problem while booting SUSE 10.1:PLZ.....HELP..!!
i have tried installing suse 10.1 on my sata 160 gb hard disk...there are enough free space in my hard disk,unformatted.i have created one / mount point with 10 gb and one 1 gb for swap.it has installed correctly with all the softwares and installation completion has been shown.
But when i am trying to boot my system,then after showing some boot messages on the black screen..the monitor become simply blanc...just the power light blinking at a first rate...as if the monitor is shut down.For the cabinet,the hard disk indicator is off after few moments but the power light is on continuously.
My system specification::
Intel D102GGC2 P4 2.66 GHz 533 MHz system bus
disk driver : ST3160211AS
Display adaptors : ATI RADEON XPRESS 200
160 GB SATA
Is this problem is for hard disk incompatiability or display error..??
please help me out of this problem.....kindly inform me if you want some detailed specific informations about my system

When you installed the OS did you change the resolution? Sounds like a resolution issue to me. Make sure you test the settings.

Hi suvojyoti,
I don't know if this useful but I had similar problems with Suse 10.2.
I installed it using a TFT monitor a frequently had the 'black screen'. When I used my CRT monitor it worked fine.
Just a thought...
