    Question SUSE 10 kernel rebuilding

It is so much easier in Solaris. But anyway.... I need to make configuration changes to the kernel to support a Intel pro 2200 wireless card. But I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
So how does one make changes to a Suse 10 kernel? Do I need to re-compile? or just change the .config file and save? Any help is much appreciated..

    Thanks
    Ken

You will need the kernel-source package for the header files it contains. You don't rebuild the kernel but the make uses the header files so it knows how to link with your kernel. Suse does not install the Kernel-source by default. If you have not installed the source Go to

    Yast-Software-Software Management

    search for kernel-source

    install
