    Botched Login Screen

    Before the Login Screen Appears I am getting a botched screen for a moment and then I am getting the login screen properly. And During my first login as root It gave me an error that Monitor is not set in correct X and Y position. How can i get rid of all these problems? Solutions Please.

    open yast --> hardware --> grafics card and monitor

    please post contents of /etc/X11/xorg.conf

    aloso please let us know what hardware you have

    Have you tried running YAST - Hsrdware - graphics card & monitor

    Be sure that the card is correct and the monitor setting are also.

    Have you installed any graphics drivers??

    Press Ctrl-Alt-F1 and see if the virtual terminals are rendering correctly. Pressing Ctrl-Alt-F7 will bring you back to the GUI
