    Simple Question on SuSE

    I noticed that you can d/l open suse 10.2 via a link on this website. I was looking at the novell website and i saw that you can also buy it.
    So my question is...whats the difference?

    The d/l is a single dvd and the bought version is a double sided dvd (with more software but you can easily download the additional software included).

    Plus the bought version comes with an excellent guide.

    No, you can't actually download OpenSuse directly from LinuxForums.org

    The Downloads Directory is only a collection of information about various applications and distros, and the URLs from which you can download them.

    I don't understand your question. There are lots of guides for lots of things on the internet.

    Getting a distro amounts to down loading the ISO image file for that distro and burning it as an ISO image to a CD/DVD . There is a good how to in this forms main directory.

    I think that if you buy the boxed set it comes with a manual.

    Yes - the guide that comes with the boxed version is also available on the internet.
