    Setting Madwifi

I am totally new to linux, I have installed the Opensuse 10.2

I have a Trendnet wireless card and Trendnet wireless router 108Mbps IEEE 802.11g and an IBM 600x thinkpad

I managed to install the madwifi and my wireless card is working (I could scan for available network -iwlist) and I can see my network

I have entered the WEP keys in the openSuse network setting and I used the Iwconfig command to enter the essid

the wireless card setting is showing Encryption:off
and i can not connect to the internet

I am totally lost. Is the network setting done in suse or iwconfig command line ? and which commands I need to setup the link

I have tried the madwifi pdf help file, there is lots of commands that I am not even familiar with and I am not sure which ones I need to use.

    Thanks for the help

Try it without the WEP key, I think it's actually off at the moment.

When I do a scan, It shows the router encryption - on

Iwconfig (the card/laptop) shows it - off

thats way I can not link to the network router, but I do not knew how to make
the card use the WEP keys i have already entered in the Suse
