    Question VPN Ideas?

Ok all you brilliant techs out there. I need advice.

I have a small home network. I connect through my wireless router,to a cable modem provided by my ISP (Time Warner).

If possible, I want to be able to use my laptop, anywhere, and be able to remotely connect to my server at home. No remote control software programs like PCAnywhwere.... Maybe somehow through a VPN would be great, or some other secure way. I have NO idea how to do this.

ANY ideas on how to start?

    Ken

Apparently IPCop can be configured to act as a Host-to-Net VPN. Personally, I'd start there.

Once you get it installed, check out their online admin documentation on VPNs.

If you go that route, let us know how it works out. (I have not tried it.)
