    kernel header help

    hi guys,

    I'm trying to install vmworkstation, right now i'm stuck at the kernel header, as for the header i have is of a different verison of my running kernel..

    I have failed to add the repository in yast,,

    anyone know where i can get the kernel header for 2.6.18-0.5?
    repository would be very helpful

    Basically you need to install the kernel-source for that version. Should be found where you got that kernel. Best thing to do is install it through yast

    i have the same source as my running kernel, however, under yast the linus kernel head is of a separate entity, and the available version i can have is lower than the source and running kernel...i'm thinking that i'm missing a repository for the kernel headers...anyone know the right repository for kernel related files? ex, headers?

    O.o i dont know y, i dont' know how..but i reinstalled the same header..and did the config again,,and now its recognized a new folder for header which is /usr/src/linux (version)/include..and it is moving forward..

    ummmmmm

    thanks for all ur help up to this point,,lets consider this solved..heheeh (>.>) but i'm sure there will be more questions comming from me regarding to this...so thanks again!
