Configuration Problems SCSI Scanner SUSE 10.2

    Hi everyone,
Having problems installing a Microtek ScanMaker 4 under OpenSuse 10.2.
    It can detect it -
    with sane-find-scanner...
    # found SCSI scanner "Microtek ScanMaker IV 1.50" at /dev/sg3

and under YAST -> Hardware -> Scanner - the scanner is found but the driver column reads "Not Configured".
There is no corresponding scanner driver either supported or unsupported when I click the Edit button and get taken to the "Scanner Model and Driver Selection" section.

Should I give up now? or is this fixable?

    Thanks, Chris

    Check here

    SANE - Supported Devices

If your scanner is unlisted you might try a model that has the same chipset as yours. Other then that there is not much you can do but buy a new scanner that is supported. Please alert the manufacturer of the problem, if enough people complain perhaps these guys will get the message.
