    Easiest NIC to install

I think I might just get a new NIC for Suse 10. Does anyone have an opinion on what NIC brand to get. I don't have much experience with Linux so I am looking for one that is pretty much plug and play.

Wired nics are all pretty decent. Try get something Intel based if you can, but almost anything I've ever used has been fine. Plug n' play.

Realtek and via rhine wired cards always work perfectly out of the box for me. For wireless, look for something with a ralink chipset because there are opensource drivers available for such cards.

Here is a link that might help.

    HCL/Network Adapters & - openSUSE

    HCL/Network Adapters (Wired) - openSUSE

PCI cards I have always had good luck with Suse detecting Netgear cards.
