You should be able to get by using the native nv driver, for now.
The kernel sources are available through Smart, you just may need to add the repository to it. In my Smart setup I have two repositories that can provide them, add these to your list of channels:
If you are using a different version than 10.2, these won't work.Code:openSUSE-update http://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/suse/update/10.2 and SUSE Linux Online Updates ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/update/10.2/

Didnt work I went to install the kernel source and when it got done with 1/4 of it it had the word segmantation fault in the middle of the screen and it said do you want to dislpay all 1345 results [y,n] or something like that and when i went to open yast again it said the kernal source was installed but when i ran nvidia setup it said it was missing
. Also after that i couldnt see the commands i was typeing into the command line thing. And even worse was when i try to use the -k $(uname -r) solution that worked for other peaople it doesnt work.
Im almost thinking about going back to freaking suse linux 11 or whatever it was atleast then this problem was solvable It seems like all the solutions others have tried fails for me............... and yes the md5 checksum of the iso is right. And yes i burned it at the slowest possible speed
Also note who cares if the old version is unsupported it seems this new version is buggier than the other atleast the other peoples ways of fixing the x server worked.........
Also note if this version cannot be repaired soon(spent 24 hours searching for solutions STRAIGHT!!!!)I will have the obligation to tell everyone to dl suse linux 10.1 who asks me which distro is good.Since so many people seem to have ran into this problem and it not get fixed(only in new version)Also note i will format the linux partition soon if no fix that works is posted

So which version are you actually using? It is hard to give accurate help without knowing.

Well I was using opensuse 10.2 but im reverting back to 10.1 becuse its been tried and true to me and 10.2 seems almost as if certain important files are crrupted(even though the md5 is the same) anyways im currently installing 10.2 and will work past the X.org prob it has since the tools i used this time work on 10.1 unlike 10.2 :P
Btw tnx for the advice i will add those 2 to my yast everytime i install linux :P
