    Problem install SuSe 9 with external USB CD/DVD ROM

    Have tried to install SLES9 on Dell Blade Server 1855 with external USB CD/DVD ROM. Got problem after boot from SLES 9 CD, while installation and could not find CDROm?
    Please help thanks

    Hey,
    Just check your BIOS options for USB Devices. Is it enabled?
    If yes does it shows your CD Rom device info detected.

    Yes USB device was enable, it's booted from installed CD, but while installation it
    could not find the CD in CD-ROM any more?

    I would imagine that the needed USB drivers aren't in the initrd to allow it to boot from itself. I would recommend using a newer release if possible.

    My testing required to load SLES9, so any work around?
