    Updated, massive errors

I went to install irssi and pidgin and yast wanted to upgrade a few things thi seemed normal to me so I said yes upon reboot now I cannot open a terminal not in the right click option, my menu will not open just shows a couple of boxes and my windows have no borders no open maximize and minimize buttons and i got an error about power managment on boot up and a clock error that asked me if I wanter to delete the clock I said no. Had I known this would happen I never would have installed it. I am new to SUsE. Please someone tell me what to do I am really lost here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you do get into an Xsession ? Yes. Where you using 3D effects before reboot, was it beryl ? Were some of the updates for Display driver NVIDIA or ATI ?

Need to ask a few questions to try and figure where you are at .

First thing to try kill x ctrl+alt+backspace and at the prompt run sax2 to reconfigure x . You can also run yast outside of x at as root simply type yast.
