    help with nvidia-gfx-kmp-default

I was installing the nvidia drivers and first installed x11-video-nvidia and restarted x and everything was fine. then i installed nvidia-gfx-kmp-default and restarted x. now i dont get the nvidia splash screen when suse starts and the error "Failed to load the nvidia kernel module". i used yast to install all packages.

i've searched the web to try and find out how to remove the package and go back to just having x11-video-nvidia but i cant find anything.

    any ideas?

did you already have kernel-source installed?

and on the command line try "yast2 --remove <package name>"
