    hey im just learning about linux. i want to install linux on my system but i dont know which distro to install

    my system is brandnew and on the higher end of its class so specs arent a concern tho i am using an hp notebook if that helps


    what distro would be good got a beginner?
    what can i expect from linux? what are the biggest differances ill see coming from window?

    what are the YOU MUST DO THIS things i need to know about linux when i first start using it?

    where can i go to learn how to use linux?

    In my opinion Gentoo is the best one to start with.
    But well read the faq and you find out..

    We can't tell you which distro is best for you. Everyone has his/her own tastes likes/dislikes. You can do anything or install any package in any distro. I would suggest you to try as many as you can and decide yourself.
