I run SuSe 9.3 and am fairly new to linux. My questions are more of general ones.

I have a network with a DNS server, NIS server, Web, email, samba, nfs, and time servers. No LDAP yet, but maybe.

So my question is how is the best way to centralize everything. My feeling is through DCHP, handing out as much info to where everything is to the clients.

Even if I add LDAP, how do the servers coordinate a central database of information that can work with each of the other servers?

For instance, can I create a file (aschii, LDIF, etc...), enter it into LDAP, then have DCHP point to all the servers (DNS, WINS, Print, etc..) and have each of these servers get their info, as well as updates, to the, other servers, and from then on continually update them?

Confusing, to me yes!
