I installed an app called Cairo Dock and I found a deb package that i installed using alien to convert when i ran it the first time it said I needed to be root so i did the su command then ran it and installed the package that now had a lock on it. Now when i log in yast shows me only limited items and all folders in the filesystem have that lock on them. I think I somehow screwed up my permissions can anyone tell me how to reset them.

Can you post the error or the command you ran, or provide more info on what command you ran and what the "lock" is.

Well the lock is a symbol that is on the folders and files but here is the weird thing I have removed the package and the did converted it again using alien without becoming root and installed that package and now when i reboot the lock symbols are gone but after letting my system be idle for a while running screensaver the locks are back weird. I am also having trouble getting a USB controller from Logitech working I have been looking at many forums and still no dice. The controller is a chillstream USB.
