OpenSuSe 10.3 No Hard Disk Detected

    Hello,
I've been trying the last 5 days to get 10.3 to install without success.SuSe 10.2 installed just fine.I tried a normal install, all the kernel options, safe settings just about all I could think of with the same result.I've checked other forums and this seems to be a big problem with this release.I am sure it has something to do with my sata controller.I do not have a RAID ARRAY set up.Here are some specs:

    Abit IT7-MAX2 Motherboard
    Highpoint HPT-374 Hard Drive Controller
    Samsung 120GB SATA Hard Drive
    Intel 845PE Chipset
    Realtek ALC-650 Audio
    RTL8100B LAN
    Intel P4 3.4 GHz CPU
Crucial Tech. 1.5GB (3200) DDR RAM
    Support For RAID 0,1,0+1

As one can see this is not a new system and all my hardware has been supported since the 2.4.xx kernel days.I did a checksum after I downloaded and again after I burned the DVD and all was fine.Anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Thanks Frank

    Hello,
I had the same problem: 10.3 couldn't detect my SATA drive even though 10.2 installed without a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
