    laptop hibernation problem in 10.3

I've recently installed 10.3 (gnome) on my Dell vostro 1000 laptop. When I want the machine to hibernate a green colored screen comes up w/ two Z's on a cloud and a progress bar which starts but stops quickly and the system hangs. I wanted to post the results of the hardware info. from Yast's "Hardware Information", but the save to file feature doesn't seem to work. It's an AMD64 2 core and my the OS is 32bit (it that's important).

I uninstalled my ATI driver via Yast's "software management" (removed the 2 entries related to fglrx). I also removed the kernel module by doing:
    #rmmod ati_agp
then rebooted the machine. Hibernate still hangs the laptop. Any ideas?

My swap partition is 900MB and I have 1GB of memory. Could this possibly be the cause of the problem?
