Adding More Screen Resolution Options To My Graphics
Hi guys, how you all doing?
I was wondering how can I change the screen resolution of my linux to fit other screen sizes. I am asking because I have brought my Laptop at work and I want to present OpenSuSe to my colleagues, but on the 22 inch screen we have in the meeting room, I can't get anything more than the 1280x800 resolution that my laptop has. The other resolutions available are 1024x768 and lower, but I need 1680x1200. How can I achieve this?
Thanks for your help in advance

Log in as root and open /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Add 1680x1200 in Modes line and reboot machine.
In case it doesn't work, execute this
Post output here. Post the contents of xorg.conf file too.Code:lspci | grep VGA
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
