C Compiler on Suse 9
I need to install a C Compiler on Suse 9, so I tried gcc. But I need another compiler to install this one. I searcht for other wayes but all I get is RPM's that need more other RPM's. Could somebody help me out? I need to do everthing commandline.
Just started Linux this schoolyear so forgive me for some stupid questions
.
Btw, I do not have any Suse cd's so I cannot install via Yast, cause I need cd3. Or could somebody give me a download link voor cd3, can't found 1.

I would recommend Yast, but the more pressing question is, "Why SuSE 9?" Are you taking a course that specifically requires it? The latest version of SuSE (now called openSuSE) is at 10.3, which can be found here:
Software.openSUSE.org
If you're just set on using SuSE 9 (which I remember being quite nice, although by now it's rather out of date), you can find links to the ISO files for 9.3 here:

Thank you for the link, I couldn't find anything. And I am following this course on school, we just got this virtual machine with Suse 9 installed on it, but we do have the proper cd from Opensuse 10.2. I will try or this works.
I will let you know in a minute..
Hmm.., I keep getting the message that I need to insert cd3. I tried to mount it in deamon tools and then point vmware to G:\, no luck. Then I added the image in vmware, same message.
What do I wrong?
