nvidia drivers in suse10.0

hello:

I selected nvidia proparietry video drivers through yast2 in my suse10.0
however my opengl still seems to be driven by software. all my games and google earth do not see teh hardware drivers at all.

what should i do correctly install the nvidia drivers?

Did you install the kernel module with it too? It may have the extension -kmp in the package name.
