OpenSUSE 10.3 x86-64 ADSL problem (Conexant chpsets)
I had problem connecting my service provider using Conexant Systems (Rockwell) E-Tech ADSL Modem v2.
Initially my USB Modem is not lighting up the LED, later after going through the site Conexant AccessRunner ADSL USB modems with Linux. I found the modem require the firmware so I googled and found the "cxacru-fw.bin" and copied it into the /lib/firmware after restart I could see the LED light up and is in line with my service provider. I had also viewed the /proc/net/atm and found file cxacru:0 file present to confirm that hotplug detected the modem.
Now the problem is when I use the DSL setting option in the YAST I have no way to specify my ADSL device in the configuration. My service provider(BSNL) use PPPOE for connection and I had been successfully using the same modem in winXP with the same provider.
Is there any other packages I am missing
Kindly direct me to find a solution to this issue
Thanks in advance for your valuable time
