    Help Connect Sagem F@st-800 USB Modem

    Hi,

    I am running two OS winXP and SUSE 10.3 on my pc and i really want to switch to Linux. I have installed almost all softwares from A DVD.

    I have a problem to connect to the internet through SUSE. I have a Sagem F@st-800 USB Modem.

    SAGEM F@ST 800 modem

    Hi younness - I saw your message about the above modem and am having similar problem.
    Using sabayon 3.4e but it's not picking up the modem while I cannot find a way to install the Linex drivers from the Tiscali setup CD.
    Did you find a solution?

    It's difficult to get usb modems to work. I managed using eciadsl but they don't support the sagem.
    However if you visit this site it looks promising. In my experience tho' it does take a bit of patience and tweaking.
    Ethernet router is definitely the best answer.
