    You will need to bring up Yast to configure your network card.
    What kind of card are you using, is it wireless or wired.
    We definitely need more info.

    I use a built-in network card in an intel motherboard. Then it's connected to an external ADSL modem via a network cable, which then connected to my fixed telephone line. streamyx is the name of my broadband service provider, where I have an account realfalah@streamyx

    If YaST sees your card I would recommend using the NetworkManager option when setting up. It allows you to hotplug the network cable when needed, and makes rebooting your router easier.
