    Toshiba Laptop function keys

    Hi guys,

I have a dual boot Toshiba Laptop. I use WinXp for web design work and OpenSuSe for everything else.
My Toshiba has some special function buttons on the keyboard that are very useful but only work in WinXp. This is logical since the laptop ships with WinXP. I was wondering, does anybody know if these special function keys can be triggered / used in OpenSuse 10.3 with the help of some software?

Looking FWD to hearing from you!
    Thanks in advance!

Here's a HowTo for creating keyboard shortcuts that might be worth checking out, but I'm not sure that it will help with your situation:

<CodeJacked/> » Create custom keyboard shortcuts in Linux

    Hope it helps.

I use an hp laptop and the special function keys worked out of the box. However when I change keyboard layout they just stop working. Check if it has anything to do with this

I wonder whether this might be part of my problem:
do you mean on WinXP or on Suse?
What keyboard layouts are you referring to? - English/spanish

I have a problem getting hotkeys to work on a WinXP/toshiba satellite 6100
from spain 2002. I am using it in the USA, I dont have the recovery
    CDs anymore
downloads from Toshiba are not helping much either, I only get one
hotkey display CRT/LCD and no other options.

    Any insights appreciated

    Anthony
