Upgrading from 10.2 to 10.3, can't find fstab

    Hello,

I have been upgrading since version 8 and never ran against this problem or any other for that matter (I guess there is a first time for everything).

When the upgrade process is checking the hard drives for partitions, it recognizes the / where 10.2 is on but it can't figure out what the mount points for each partition are, since it gives me an error saying it can't find the FSTAB.

Has anyone run into this problem, and if so how to get around it. I am curious as to why it can't read the FSTAB. All partitions use EXT3 and obviously I am using 10.2 without problems.

    Thanks,
    Joe.

I've always done a clean instal when moving up with openSUSE. You can do this and keep your /home partition. That way I've never had a problem since my first teething problems when I first started with linux. Just make sure you only format the /root partition when you run the instal.
