I can't install suse
Hello everyone, I was trying to install fedora the other day and I wasn't able to.
After looking around in forums I found out that the solution to my problem was the following command: linux all-generic-ide irqpoll pci=nommconf
I can now install fedora but not suse. When I try to install suse it gives me the error Could not find the SUSE linux installation CD. Activating manual set up program I can't go very far with manually setting suse. I choose the language, keyboard layout, start installation or system, press ok, start installation, ok, then I choose the source medium which is CD-ROM, at this point when I press ok it says make sure that CD number 1 is in your drive, pressing ok again it gives the following error: unable to mount the CD-ROM.
The disk is in the drive. What is wrong with it?
Can somebody please help me?
Thank you guys!!!!

Check if new version of BIOS is available at your MotherBoard Manufacturer site. Upgrade BIOS, if possible. It will sort out all installation problems.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

BIOS upgrade is not dangerous at all. You have to take care of correct version only. It should be for your Motherboard only.
