    How to change scanner resolution?

Hi guys, I am trying to install Cannon N676U scanner, I got the driver and the scanner works ok, the only problem is that for instance in openoffice when i select import picture from scanner I have just two possible resolutions 50 dpi and 1200 dpi. I would need something around 300dpi, but that window just does not let me change the resolution to a custom value. Is it possible to do that. I have suse 10.2. Thanx for help.

Please check for your X windows resolution and set it for 1024x728 and check the same.
