Unhappy Please help to intall vlc in opensuse 10.3 problem creating repositories

I am unable to create the repository as said in the vlc site

[First, add a new repository (installation source) in YaST (YaST2 -> Software -> Installation Sources)]
Actually there is nothing like "installation Sources" in "Softwares" !
the one which matches it is "Software repositories" in which it is displayed "configured software repositories" i clicked add then http. then i gave server name and directory on server. Two unknown options are "repository name" and "port"

    Servername i gave "download.videolan.org"
    Directory: /pub/videolan/vlc/SuSE/10.3

on clicking next the error comes
unable to create repository from URL "http:download.videolan.org..................

    Error code

Error message: couldn't resolve host 'download.videolan.org'

"Installation Sources" was an option in previous SUSE/openSUSE releases. Anyway, what you can do is go to the Community Repositories section (under YAST - Software). Look for a repository named "Packman" and select it to be added to your sources. YAST will automatically set it up and once its finished, you go to the Software Management section and search for vlc and select it for installation.

I tried to enter the "community repositories" under "software" but an error occurs

    Warning !
Unable to download repositories or no repositories defined !!!

    and everything stops there
can you please tell me how to create repositories?

Make sure your internet connection is working when you go to community repositories. If it still does not work try this link Additional YaST Package Repositories - openSUSE and try adding the packman repository linked from the page using software source option in YAST.
